Airdolphin GTO |
Airdolphin wind turbines are recognised for their outstanding performance, durability and unrivalled run time.
Airdolphin is a cutting-edge small wind turbine that combines knowledge and technology from various sources in Japan. In 2002, Zephyr chaired Japan’s “Project Z” R&D consortium, charged with developing the world’s most advanced small wind turbine. Members from industry, academia and the Japanese government, such as the Advanced Industrial Science and Technology, the University of Tokyo, Toray, Hitachi Metals, NTN, and Yokogawa Electric Corporation joined together to develop the Airdolphin. Airdolphin was designed over 4 years combining the best of Japanese technology. Today, the highly acclaimed turbine forms the core of micro renewable energy solutions provided by Zephyr in countries around the world. |
Airdolphin GTO can connect to an ordinary power grid through a power conditioner. This wind turbine is targeted towards the growing grid-tie market which is centered in developed countries. Not only can it be applied to various uses in daily life or in business, the generated electricity can also be sold to electric power companies in countries with a FIT (Feed-in Tariffs) system. (GTO stands for Grid-Tie Optimized.) |
